Thea Hyde is a London based Textile designer who works cross-discipline in fashion, interior and the arts. In 2019 she graduated from London College of Fashion with a First class honors degree in Fashion Textiles, specialising in Print.

Demonstrating a strong eye for colour, pattern and design Thea later went on to win a place with Texselect 2019 and was highlighted as one of the leading graduate designers in the UK. Previously showcasing work at London venues such as New Designers. Thea is currently working on a new and exciting collection which she will be showcasing at Premier Vision Paris 2019.

With a strong background in art and a huge passion and interest in the History of Art, later studying it at A level and exploring it thoroughly throughout her Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. Thea finds a lot of inspiration from the arts working this into her illustrations and drawings, with a heavy focus on recreating and reminiscing the decorative arts from different eras and merging modern with vintage through colour and pattern.

Thea works in a variety of mediums including both hand-rendered and digital techniques with collections delving into themes of flora, interior, and all things pattern. Each design begins as a collaged hand-rendered and hand-drawn piece, with colour and pattern being an integral part of the design process.

With the philosophy to cultivate sustainability through design with the intent to create key pieces that are timeless and can be cherished, aiming to challenge people to mix the old with the new, the modern with the vintage, and to show people the beauty of having an eclectic wardrobe. Be bold, be playful, be you.

"Colour is such an integral part to the design process. It tells so much. A design can tell a completely different story just by the change of a colour."
